Christians, an honest question regarding self-excluding beliefs if you will….?

Simply because of a bad hermeneutical approach to reading the Bible. Most people come to the Bible with a presupposition and are just looking for scriptures to defend their point. These people are not necessarily not saved or whatever, but are simply victims of what humans are prone to do. I've done this too before so I'm guilty as charged, but it's not a good approach.
