Why are so many on the left absolutely consumed by cl envy?

I read question after question from leftists bemoaning how much CEOs make and calling for higher taxes on the affluent. Could one of you please explain how the salary of a CEO is any of your business? Do you think that if he were to earn less, you would earn more? In the case of taxation, do you honestly believe someone who earns $1M a year somehow doesn't deserve to keep the same percentage as someone who earns $20K?
