How do I tell if an account was disabled due to inactivity or a TOS violation?

Give Yahoo a call and find out. It was probably deleted for inactivity. The account can be reactivated in that case, but all the contents will be gone. If it was a TOS violation you will find that out when you talk to them. My daughter and my nephew reactivated theirs a year after they didn't use it. But no contents.
