If I found a couple small, white worms with tiny legs in my jug of protein, is it safe to ingest?

I could only find 1 that was alive on the top of the protein powder inside the jug, and another dead. It was small and white/clearish with tiny legs, maybe the length of my fingernail. Any idea what they could be, and if I should just throw the jug away? It was US$80.00!!
