Question about age difference?

I'm a sopre and this 8th grade girl likes me, I know because she told me subtly. Like she didnt say hey I like you, but she said o i like this kid, and i basicly described myselff and she said ya to everything. anyway, I would have no problem dating her when she's a freshman, but i'm not to sure about dating her while shes in eigth. When I think about logicly it seems ok, like its still only a year and a half whether shes in high school or not, but idk it would just be weird. Can somebody please give me some advice?
