Why is my bearded dragon eating his poo?

Today I noticed when I got home, a pile of feces that was there when I left was gone. I would have cleaned it up when I saw it, but was in a rush this morning. I feed him a sufficient amount of crickets twice a day. What could lead him to munch on his own feces?
