Why not fix Mexico instead of defending illegal immigration and amnesty?

The best idea (in my opinion) in how to fix Mexico would be for the USA to end it's "War on Drugs".. especially marijuana. That would nearly immediately put alot of the kingpins in Mexico out of business, but we all know that's never gonna happen. Too many American bureaucrats and fat cats make HUGE paychecks out of incarcerating people for ingesting a plant.
